Walking 101
Walking 101 is a 6 week program designed for the walking enthusiast. This class will be doing walking only and will contain a beginner schedule starting with a 20 min walk, and an advanced schedule starting with a 40 min walk. Discussion topics include injury prevention, stretching, form, cross training, racing, shoes, apparel and much more.


Running 201 & Early Bird 201
Running 201 is a 6 week program designed for those who can run a 5K; the 201 class introduces strength, speed and endurance components to your workouts.  Discussion topics include injury prevention, stretching, form, cross training, racing, shoes, apparel and much more

Running 201 & Early Bird 201

Running 301
Running 301 is a 7 week program designed to build base mileage.  The class is designed for the runner who can run a 5K and wants to improve mileage base.  Most participants in the 301 class are planning to participate in a half marathon or marathon in the fall.  301 will prepare you to enter our popular marathon class or move you to the head of our half marathon class.  We have added Run Walk Groups to our 301 Class as well as the White Rock Marathon and Half Classes.

Speed Training & Early Bird Speed Training
The Speed Class is a three phase program designed to improve your 5K and 10K race performance. The 18-week Spring Speed Class Series features three six-week training phases. Each phase is designed to improve your speed and build progressively on the previous phase.
Phase One - Base building, strength, form & mechanics.
Phase Two - Running economy, hill & repetition training.
Phase Three - Intervals, ladders, threshold runniong, sharpening.

Trot On! Class
The TrotOn! Class is a 7 week program designed to prepare you for the YMCA Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day.  The Turkey Trot is one of the largest running events in the metroplex and is a great family tradition in the Dallas running community.  The class has beginner groups to prepare for the 5K fun run as well as the 8 mile race.  Discussion topics include injury prevention, stretching, form, cross training, racing, shoes, apparel and much more.

Trot to the Rock! Class
The TrotOn! Class is a 9 week program designed to prepare you for the YMCA Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day and beyond.  At the end of class, you will not only be ready for the 8 mile race at the Turkey Trot, but also for the relay in the White Rock Marathon.   Plus you'll be ready to move on into the Spring Marathon/Half Marathon Class.

Half Marathon Classes
The Half Marathon Training Program is a 17 week program designed to train you for the half marathon.  Our effort based program has helped many people complete their first half marathon and/or improve their time. 

Marathon Classes
The Marathon Training Program  ranges from 18 to 24 weeks. All program and are designed to train you for the marathon.  Our effort based class has helped many people complete their first marathon, a personal best time or a Boston qualification. 

Advanced Marathon Class
The Advanced Marathon Class is for experienced marathoners who have qualified for Boston or who have run a marathon in 3:45 or a half in 1:40.
